The Board of Directors oversees the mission and vision of our nonprofit, ensuring that every child in need receives a new pair of shoes.
President
Tonya Voepel, President and co-founder of STS, lives in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a vital source for the Illinois and Arizona activities and has been active in many of the marketing projects for STS.
Vice President
Karen Voepel, Vice-President and co-founder of STS, lives in Lamar, Colorado. She is a vital source for the Colorado activities and has been active in the Shoe Cruizer travels since its inception.
Co-Treasurer
Heidi Darow lives in Sherman, Illinois and is co-treasurer of STS. She has been a volunteer with STS since 2012 and continues to give her free time working on fundraisers and shoe events.
Co-Treasurer
Lori Harrison lives in Sherman, Illinois and is co-treasurer of STS. She has been a volunteer with STS for numerous years and gives her free time working on fundraisers and shoe events.
Secretary
Emily Palmer lives in Lamar, Colorado and is secretary of STS. She has been a volunteer with STS for numerous years and gives her free time working on fundraisers and shoe events.
Board Member
Tracie Fleming lives in Sherman, Illinois and has volunteered for several STS Shoes for Kids events. She brings a strong background in community involvement and valuable experience serving on other local charity boards.

Tori Vagher lives in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado and has volunteered and helped organize several Shoes for Kids events for STS. She has extensive experience in nonprofit board service and family advocacy.
Advisory Board
Chana Reed lives in Lamar, Colorado and is a member of the Advisory Board. She has been a volunteer for numerous years and gives her free time working on fundraisers and shoe events.

Tom Walters lives in Chatham, Illinois and is a member of the Advisory Board. He has been a long time volunteer and supporter of STS since its inception in 2003 and provides invaluable insight to the board.
